Changing Opinions On Health Care Reform

While everyone has an opinion on health reform, including medical concierge, a new policy brief nonprofit RAND Corp. might have to think differently. Everyone knew the system was broken and broken by a very long time. There are many reasons why primary care physicians are turning to concierge medicine, but some of the most influential reasons are due to the fact that this system of health care we have used for generations is not working. Something had to change, and while the current exchange rate could not be what most people want, according to RAND Corporation is much better than no change at all.

U.S. News, the new U.S. health care reform law was the best option for providing health insurance to more people while maintaining federal government costs as low as possible, according to an analysis by the RAND Corporation, a nonprofit policy think tank.

The researchers used a computer model

specially designed to simulate more than 2,000 different policy options and found that the only alternatives to the new reform law were politically difficult, since it included much higher penalties for non-compliance, lower government subsidies, and less generous Medicaid expansion.

This study, which appears in the June issue of Health magazine, is not getting much attention. Why? Probably because it is not very controversial. The simple fact of the matter is that something had to change, and this was the best change to make our health system.

According to the study author Elizabeth McClynn, a senior researcher at RAND, “Of all the proposals on the table to extend health insurance to more Americans, law reform end was which covers the largest number of people in the lowest cost to the federal government. “

The only alternatives that have covered more Americans at lower cost to the federal government all sentences were politically untenable, substantially higher for those who do not meet the mandates, reduce government subsidies and less generous Medicaid expansion.

So, sure we can talk and complain and mutter under the breath of the horrible state of our health system is and how things are only going to worsen over “Obamacare.” But the truth behind all the controversy could be that things are so terribly wrong right now, so incredibly disorganized and inefficient health care reform that is our best option. It is a very sad situation when this is the best option.

But of course there are always other options, and that’s where concierge medicine comes into play.

Concierge medicine creates an environment that allows health care to combine traditional medicine with progressive and technologically advanced. Built on a foundation of trust and communication, the relationship you have with your physician counseling is nothing like that currently have with your family doctor. While health reform is changing the way America looks at health care, concierge medicine is changing the way doctors care for their patients.

The health system could be very full of defects, and may continue to be consumed with red tape after the health reform effect, the concierge medicine will always remain difficult. RAND Corp. might have shown that changes to health care are the best options we have, but there is still fear of the consequences that the reform will be amazing on the medical reimbursement (also known as Medicare cuts), the time waiting patients, the quality of medicine, and time spent with physicians.

Back in 2005, it was estimated that only 250 concierge physicians in the United States with about 100,000 patients. Today it is estimated that the number has increased to 5,000 medical counseling with thousands of patients. Due to fears that seem to be connected to health care reform, concierge medicine is experiencing its greatest growth ever. Some experts believe that the growth of the rocket 50, 60 and even 70% in some areas.

Concierge medicine, also known as boutique medicine and medicine VIP, like health care reform, comes with its own stigma. But perhaps as more and more doctors to make concierge medicine, certain ideas and preconceived notions about concierge medicine wants is the will to change.
